 TERMS & CONDITIONS

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE VILLA BOOKING FORM

A

1.   BOOKINGS & ENQUIRIES

After checking with the availability information proceed and complete the booking form for reservation.  As soon as we evaluate your request we confirm through email the total amount of rental fee together with payment conditions, asking for your permission to proceed with the booking.

2.   PAYMENTS
A deposit of 10% is required at the time of booking to hold a reservation. 
This can be done either by cheque payable to Phaedra Aristidou and sent to the following address: 3A Gladstonos Street, Strovolos, 2021 Nicosia, Cyprus OR if you prefer make a money transfer to the following bank account: 0115-11-021369 (Bank of Cyprus, Phaedra Aristidou). Reservations are not considered firm until the deposit, in cleared fund, is received and our reservation confirmation has been issued. A letter of confirmation of your holiday reservation will then be forwarded to you. The BALANCE of the rental fee should be paid in cash at your arrival when receiving the key to the property. The deposit is kept on file as a security in case you cancel and no refund is made. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any reservation but shall refund all monies paid in respect of such reservation.

3.   PERSONAL INSURANCE COVER/LIABILITY

     You are strongly advised to obtain holiday insurance with suitable cover. The use of the accommodation is at your own risk and no liability will be accepted for any loss or damage of belongings, or personal injury or death however incurred. Your insurance company will be pleased to advise you.

4.   NOTIFICATION OF ARRIVAL AND COLLECTION OF KEYS

Confirmation of the date and estimated time of arrival at the property will be made at the time of booking.  One of the Aristidou family or a designated person will be at the property to welcome you. When this is not possible we will agree on other arrangement for the collection of keys. You are required to contact us if any changes concerning the above subject are made at any time before arrival.

5.   ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

In order to deliver the villa in excellent condition we ask for your cooperation and understanding. The villa will be available at 3.00p.m on arrival date. For the same reason on the day of departure all visitors must arrange to leave NOT LATER THAN 12.00a.m, unless otherwise agreed by us in writing.

1. ACCOMMODATION

The visitor and his/her party have the right to occupy the accommodation for the purpose of a holiday only. The accommodation is to be occupied by the confirmed party ONLY and no authority will be given for other persons (other than those accepted by the reservation) to have access or use of accommodation unless permission has been requested and agreed by us. Under no circumstances may the number of persons exceed the maximum number of persons as quoted. It is not permissible to assign, let, part with possession of the accommodation, nor allow any other person other than those named on the booking form received to occupy the villa.

2. BEHAVIOUR

It is the visitor’s responsibility to ensure that he/she and the members of his/her party do not behave in a boisterous way or in a way which causes offence or danger to others or which risks damage to property belonging to others. In such circumstances the villa owner/s have the right to terminate arrangements made on behalf of visitor and the members of his/her party, in which case the owner’s responsibility to the visitor and his/her party ceases immediately and there can be no refunds, no payment of compensation and no reimbursement of any cost or expenses they may incur as a result. Further, they will be liable to reimburse the owner for any expenses whatsoever it incurs as a result of their behaviour. The owner maintains the right to visit and check the property indoors and outdoors at their own discretion.

3. BED LINEN, BATHROOM TOWELS, COTS & HIGH CHAIRS

All bedding is provided. Bathroom towels as well. You need only to bring your own beach towels as they are not provided. Special equipment for children will be provided when requested through the booking form.

4. CLEANING AND LAUNDRY SERVICE

Prior to arrival we clean and do the laundry ensuring everything is spotless.  For rentals of over one week we offer cleaning and laundry services again (changing the linen is included).  For additional service please confirm with us at an extra cost.

5.

WELCOME BASKET

We welcome you with a basket consisting of milk, sugar, coffee, tea, wine, fresh juice, bread and hallumi cheese made by local people of the village.

6. BREAKAGES AND CLEANLINESS

The accommodation is made available for letting on the dear understanding that is left in a THOROUGHLY CLEAN AND TIDY CONDITION at the time of vacating. Please ensure that all waste is removed from the premises. The visitors will be held responsible for any damage or breakages that occur and such incidents must be reported to us. Where necessary the required compensation is paid. Visitors are not permitted to move furniture or equipment without prior consent. If approval is given to move anything, please make sure you return everything to the original position before departure. Equipment must not me moved from the premises for use outside.

7. AIR-CONDITIONING / HEATING / LIGHTINGS

Be aware that excessive use of electricity may overload the electricity lines with a chance of a power cut.

(a)    AIR-CONDITIONING – The visitor and or his/her party must: be economical with the air-conditioning switching on the units WHEN NEEDED and make sure that, when they leave the villa during their stay, ALL THE UNITS ARE SWITCHED OFF. (Note that approximately 1-2 MINUTES after turning-on, the air-conditioner will bring the room temperature at the desired level). Ensure that when the air-conditioning units are working ALL DOORS AND WINDOWS have to be closed, as the compressors are likely to be severely damaged. Furthermore, the units themselves may be destroyed depriving to them of their service.

Note: THE NORMAL TEMPERATURE FOR COOL IS 25-26 DEGREES AND 27 DEGREES FOR HEATING


(b)    LIGHTINGS – The visitor and or his/her party must: e
nsure that all indoor and outdoor lightings around the villa are switched off AT NIGHT BEFORE THEY RETIRE. In addition to eating up electricity they will attract unwelcome insects and mosquitoes. Make sure to do the same before leaving the villa. Check in the morning to make sure that outdoor lights have not been left on, not always easy to see in the bright sunshine.
